Last night was the successful kick-off of Youhorse.Auction’s ‘Sporthorses & breeding’ edition. Buyers from all quarters seized their chance to get highly talented horses for a good price. Mario Everse: “There were several bargains among them and tonight’s buyers could be just as lucky!”
Youhorse.auction has meanwhile developed a reputation that reaches far beyond the national borders. After last night, for example, horses will move to stables in Italy, France, Denmark, Great Britain, Canada Slovenia and Rumania, amongst other countries. “We see many returning buyers, since they can sell the horses that they bought here very well in their own country or elsewhere”, explains Mario Everse.
The auction topper and number two will also leave the country. The 4yo Sikolino 55 (Nixon van het Meulenhof x Bamako de Muze) was the best sold horse for 28,000 euro and will go to Belgium. Kaelljo (Hermantico x Genius) followed closely and for 26,000 euro will travel to the USA.
First
This edition of Youhorse.auction also had a first: there were five 3yo dressage horses for sale. “This is a new market for us. We advertised this strongly, of course, and these are extremely well-bred horses out of very good families. This was clearly appreciated and the buyers knew how to find us”, says Mario.
Presents
“We had a good night and many good horses went for attractive prices. The buyers definitely had a few presents, but that is what auctions are about. I immediately received apps from extremely happy buyers. And this was only the first night, for today there is another very interesting and varied selection for sale. From the special pony Kantje’s Post Men (Kantje’s Lester) to Qointreau van ’t Hoogeinde (Stakkat x Echo van ‘t Spieveld) who, as a 6-yr-old, already has experience at international level and was bred out of the reputable Roosaker family. Several horses that will be knocked down today have already been bid for before and therefore I see some very good chances for buyers”, Mario Everse reveals.
Tuesday-night second round
Normally we have to wait a bit for the next edition, but because of the overwhelming offer Youhorse.auction has scheduled a second auction night today. Tuesday-night the bidding will centre around foals, embryos, youngsters and ridden sport horses. Bidding is already possible and the auction will close tonight at 20.30 hours.
