The first December auction of Youhorse.auction is a fact! The varied collection with ridden horses, young free jumping talents, several broodmares and one foal, went like hot buns, but the 10-yr-old Hamilton beat the record: the Numero Uno son was knocked down for 91,000 euro.
Mario Everse and co-organiser Alan Waldman can again look back at a successful edition: “We ran another good auction with a few highlights and a very high sales percentage. Some horses were relatively cheap, but were nevertheless sold. This again resulted in happy buyers and satisfied sellers and that is the most important thing, of course. A juicy detail is that this time I myself was one of the buyers”, says a smiling Mario Everse. This was the 6-yr-old Landorado CB (Grandorado TN N.O.P. x Falaise de Muze) that cost him 22,000 euro.
Hamilton to Rumania
The 10-yr-old Hamilton (Numero Uno x Burggraaf) managed, because of his qualities and show experience at 1.40m level, to get the most attention and the virtual auction hammer knocked him down for 91,000 euro. Remarkably, in the previous autumn auction from Youhorse.auction it was another Numero Uno product that was the best sold horse.
Mario Everse already had high expectations of the grey beforehand. “This horse has the age, experience and health that appeal to many. In addition, he is a handsome, sharp horse, which is what Numero Uno products are generally known for. When you are buying on the basis of a video, charisma is extra important.”
Hamilton will go to Rumania to pursue his sport career. The 8-yr-old Extremdream (Baloubet du Rouet x Carthago) who has already jumped several 1.30m courses, will also start under the Rumanian flag, although this full brother of Brantzau VDL was bought by another sport stables.
Italian buyer with a well-filled shopping tray
An Italian buyer did very good business with as many as six purchases. Her brand-new portfolio is, where variety is concerned, a good representation of the entire collection. She bought, amongst others, the most expensive broodmare Philyra LVP (Plot Blue x Bamako de Muze), in foal to Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, for 20,000 euro, and the 2-yr-old stallion Electric (Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN x Comme Il Faut) that closed the auction with a price of 24,000 euro.
A Grand Prix showjumping rider from Spain also ensured himself of the necessary future talent in the form of the 3-yr-old Olassico Bridge KJV (Classico TN x Corland) and the 4-yr-old No Fear (Spiros Z x Charlie), for 24,000 and 17,000 euro, respectively.
A lot of horses got sold
A total of five horses will cross over to Great Britain, including the 3-yr-old Arte Nuevo vh Beeckhof Z (Amadeo van ’t Vossenhof x Vigo d’Arsouilles) for 22,000 euro. The influence of the USA was this time limited to only one purchase, but Canada defended the North American honours by claiming four horses, including the 28,000 euro 6-yr-old Liodermus PP (Jos van D’Abdijhoeve x Padinus). Following sales included purchases from Estonia, Egypt, Turkey and Iran.
Christmas auction on 20 December
The year 2022 almost comes to an end, but not before Youhorse.auction will have organised a fitting clincher from 17 to 20 December. This so-called Christmas auction offers a last chance to score a special present for under the Christmas tree.
Mario Everse says enthusiastically: “We have just had two highly intensive days. On Monday and Tuesday we organised the video- and selection days for the next collection, immediately followed by this auction. We managed to compile a fine collection. So the organisation will stay busy for a while yet, for in the next few days many video’s will be processed, data entered, photographs selected and texts written, in order for the collection to go online this Saturday!”
