The breeding edition of Youhorse.auction was rewarded with a well-deserved topper: the implanted embryo by Aganix du Seigneur out of Dani Waldman Goldstein’s former Grand Prix star Lizziemary was knocked down for as much as 50,000 euro. After some fierce bidding, the powerful genetic combination went to American buyers.
“A really suberb result! Last year we auctioned an Emerald embryo out of the same mare for the same amount. So you see that something very special will always be appreciated”, says Mario Everse on behalf of the organisation of Youhorse.auction.
“We had a very diverse collection on Tuesday 1 August with, besides horses under saddle and young free jumping talents, also well-bred foals, interesting broodmares and exclusive embryos. The prices were equally varied, so there was something for every purse and we have been able to make many different buyers happy. Remarkably, the highest prices were paid for horses whose dams or grandams had already produced top-class sport horses. The collection had clearly attracted buyers with a good eye for breeding!”
Three talents will move to Poland, such as the 4-yr-old Chacoon Blue son Cowboy de Kalvarie Z. The half-brother of Olivier Philippaerts’ 1.55m level trump card Fleur de Kalvarie went for 38,000 euro. The strikingly marked 4-yr-old Oberlin (Berlin x Zirocco Blue) changed hands for 30,000 euro. The 5-yr-old Nilmé (Verdi TN x Chin Chin) will stay closer to home. This half-brother of two 1.55m GP showjumping horses will remain in the Netherlands for 28,000 euro.
As many as nine purchases indicated that Germany is very charmed by Dutch breeding. The 7-yr-old Tangelina EH (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Darco), for example, who is a granddaughter of Walnut de Muze, will continue her career over there. The 12-yr-old Golden Times P (Goodtimes x Indorado) was knocked down for 20,000 euro. The experienced 1.30m level gelding will continue his promising future in the USA.
LMK Emma (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Peter Pan) turned out the best sold broodmare of the collection. Buyers from South Africa paid 18,000 euro for the 6-yr-old mare who is in foal to Diarado. The 9-yr-old Jinook (Diamant de Semilly x Baloubet du Rouet) will accompany her on the journey there. In foal to Arezzo VDL, she goes to the same stables for 14,000 euro.
