After a successful first night, which was a good warming up for the buyers to go into the second round, the dénouement of the 40th Youhorse.auction occurred on Tuesday-night 3 October. Two horses went for the top price of 45,000 euro: the excellently jumping 6-yr-old daughter of Clarimo and the
KWPN approved stallion Interest.
“Super!”, Mario Everse recaps the proceedings with a pleased grin. “We started well on the Monday-night and part two of the auction even went better. We had done exceptionally well with the collection for this 40th edition with a large and varied group of horses, from embryos, foals and broodmares to youngsters horses with show experience to 1.45m level. A collection in which quality was the central thread. This was warmly received by our buying public and we liked that very much, of course.”
The performance of a 6-yr-old daughter of Clarimo had deeply impressed a buyer from Monaco. The grey mare was knocked down for 45,000 euro. Same amount was paid for the KWPN stallion Interest. This 10-yr-old son of Andiamo will now continue his career in Slovenia.
On the Monday-night a son of Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, Outsider, was the best sold horse and also on the second night his offspring was popular. The 3-yr-old Paddington (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Cassini I) went for 28,000 euro to Colombia. Oh La La (Orplid x Lesotho) stayed in Europe for the same amount, the 3-yr-old mare will move to Italy. The winning bid of 26,000 euro was for the 5-yr-old Fayence (Aganix du Seigneur x Carvallo) staying in the Netherlands.
With three purchases on the Monday-night and no less than five on the Tuesday-night, the Swiss clients were in an investment mood. Several Swiss buyers were also keen on the 4-yr-old El Capone EBH Z (El Barone 111 Z x Lancelot). After a fierce bidding duel the bidding stalled at 24,000 euro. The USA and Spain claimed five of the auction horses. Germany showed its metal with as many as ten purchases.
Next auction closes on 7 November
The next edition of Youhorse.auction is planned for Tuesday 7 November. “Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 October are the selection and video days. On those two days we compile the selection for the November auction. This time the focus is on free jumping talents and ridden horses. If there are people who want to sell a remarkable talent, they can register these via www.youhorse.auction”, Mario Everse concludes.
