For the fifth edition of HX Auctions, the Hendrix family has selected eleven three-year-old jumping talents. These horses, mostly coming from Hendrix’s own stock, all meet high standards and show great promise for the sport. Today, the new collection has been presented, and bidding on offspring from stallions such as Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, Carambole, Cape Coral RBF Z and Bustique, will be open from December 16th to 18th.
A year and a half after the last edition of HX Auctions, Stal Hendrix’s auction platform is returning stronger than ever. The selection team has succeeded in choosing a promising group of horses for this fifth edition of HX Auctions, mainly from their own stock.
The right moment
Paul Hendrix has high expectations for the horses in this collection and is pleased to highlight some top talents. “We took the time to put together a new collection, and each horse meets our high standards based on conformation, health, quality and pedigree. At the moment, they are still three-year-old horses, but by the time they arrive at their new owners, most will be four years old, which is the right moment to start their sports careers”, says Paul. One of his personal favorites is the well-modelled Est Belle d’Alme CZ Z. “This mare combines the good technique and carefulness of her sire Entertainer with the power and scope of dam’s sire Contact van de Heffinck. This mare definitely has a bright future.” Paul also has high expectations for Otana Z, a daughter of O’Neil van de Bisschop. “Her sire performs very well under Mario Deslauriers. Otana Z has very good conformation, is jumping with quick reflexes and has a lot of quality.”
Great potential
For the first time, a genetically interesting stallion is part of the HX Auctions collection. “This Emerald van ’t Ruytershof son Patron, originates from a good damline and is not only promising for sport but can also be very interesting for breeding due to his own qualities and first-class pedigree”, says Paul about this half-brother to three already on 1.45m level performing showjumpers. “Without diminishing the other horses, I would also like to mention the very modern Cape Coral RBF Z mare Paola-L and the light-footed and athletic Pasquino JDV. The latter is a son of Carambole out of one of the best broodmares in the Netherlands. He is a full brother to the 3* Grand Prix horse Elina ridden by Charles Luyckx and a half-brother to three other 1.50/1.60m horses. Pasquino JDV stands out with his good canter, technique and potential. Paola-L demonstrates textbook jumping skills and seems to have everything needed to progress to higher levels.”
