Ohlala (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Canturo I) matched the top price achieved by New Star (Emir R x Quickstar), the auction’s top seller on Tuesday evening. Joining them on the journey to Germany is the three-year-old mare Ririsja (Landino VDL x Indoctro), sold for €30,000.
Mario Everse is thrilled with the results of the largest Youhorse.auction collection to date:
“We’ve auctioned nearly 120 horses over the past few days! Auctions are always exciting, but having such a large collection definitely added to the tension. We were able to make many returning buyers happy and also welcomed many new clients. The horses are heading to all corners of the globe, which is, of course, fantastic! We’ve sold horses to Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, the Dominican Republic, the United States, and even Kyrgyzstan. For that last one, I had to check Google Maps,” Mario Everse jokes. “We’re very grateful for the trust shown by both the sellers and the buyers of these horses!”
Following the first auction evening, Wednesday night also saw many horses heading abroad. The United States gained ten future talents, and eight horses will relocate to Belgium. The five-year-old gelding O’Railey MH (Jardonnay VDL x Ahorn) was sold to the Czech Republic for €40,000, while the four-year-old gelding Counting Stars Z (Cornado II Z x Cero) found a Swiss buyer for €38,000.
American buyers placed the winning bid of €22,000 on the four-year-old stallion Paulus (Liverpool x Ultimo). Two horses will try their luck in Egypt, including the four-year-old Biko (Cornet’s Quaprice x Casalito), who was sold for €22,000. Only six horses will remain within Dutch borders, highlighting the strong influence of international buyers.
Two Auctions in December
The Youhorse.auction team doesn’t have much time to bask in their success. Selection and video days for the next auction, set for December 3, are already on the calendar for this coming Monday and Tuesday. “We’re jumping right back into action!” Mario Everse shares enthusiastically. “Next week’s video days are fully booked! But don’t worry, talented sport horses can still be registered via the website for the next round on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3. We’re also organizing another auction in December: a special Christmas edition on December 24, followed by the New Year’s auction, ending on January 7. Mark these dates in your calendar because more fantastic free-jumping talents and ridden horses will be up for grabs!”
